Barkly Regional Council are currently looking for a Regional Youth Sports and Recreational Coordinator to join their team based in Tennant Creek.

This position will be responsible for providing mentoring, guidance and support across the remote Youth Sports and Recreational Team Leaders and Regional Community Development Manager. As well as driving planning, implementation and evaluations of the Youth Sports and Recreational programs, you will be required to complete reporting and data collection.

The key duties are but not limited to:

• Report and assist the Community Safety Manager in the delivery of key outcomes relating to Community Safety
• Provide briefings and conduct incident de-briefing with staff
• Regular travel to communities to promote individual and community wellbeing and to ensure the service meets local community needs
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent of 7 years' experience in youth programs
• Relevant experience in developing, implementing and managing Sport and Recreational programs
• Proven mentorship and motivation skills with the ability to work with youth and community groups
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, and compiling & submitting reports to meet KPI’s

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant qualifications or equivalent of 7 years' experience in youth programs
• Relevant experience in developing, implementing and managing Sport and Recreational programs
• Proven mentorship and motivation skills with the ability to work with youth and community groups
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, and compiling & submitting reports to meet KPI’s
