About the Role

We are dedicated to providing essential support to women and children experiencing family violence. Our Safe House is a vital resource for those in crisis, and we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Safe House Officer to join our team.

The Essentials

  • An understanding of domestic violence and family violence.
  • An understanding of mandatory reporting legislations.
  • Adaptability and flexibility with the ability to respond positively to new and unexpected situations.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A current National Criminal History Check (within the last 3 months).
  • A current Northern Territory Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card).

The Finer Details

  • Casual position paying at Level 3 Pay Point 1 of the Barkly Regional Council Enterprise Agreement 2023.
  • Hourly Rate of $34.93 (including 25% causal loading).
  • Remote Community Zone Allowance of $2.51 per ordinary hour.
  • 11.5% Superannuation.
  • Free access to our Employee Assistance Program.
