Event: ANZAC Day 2016

Whether you're a regular, or a first timer, Anzac Day is a unique experience in Tennant Creek.

On: Monday, 25 April 2016

Activities start on Sunday, 24 April with the Kapyong Day Commemorative Service for Korean War veterans at the RSL Club - 5.45pm for 6pm start, followed by refreshments.
RSL Sub Branch Roll Call Dinner at the Memo - 7pm for 7.30pm start. Three-course formal dinner at $50 per head.
On Monday, 25 April brave the chilly air for the Dawn Service at the Cenotaph, Tennant Creek RSL Club grounds on Schmidt Street with a 5.45am for 6am start. Service followed by breakfast ($10).
Groups then gather at the Transit Centre for the Commemorative Service and Main Street march at 9.15am, with the march starting at 9.40am, arriving at the RSL Club for morning service at 10.15am, followed by refreshments.
There will be two-up and live music at the Tennant Creek RSL Club from noon until late.
Anzac Day is a unique experience and if you haven't gone before, it's well worth attending to commemorate the service and sacrifice of all Australian service men and women.
Elliott also has an Anzac Day service commencing at 10am at the Cenotaph followed by morning tea (Cr Bob Bagnall and Val’s Anzac biscuits plus a generator to boil the billy) and the judging of the school children’s Anzac activities.
