Event: Hats off to our Constitution

Come and listen to a free entertaining talk on Australia's Constitution at the library at 10am.

On: Saturday, 30 June 2018

With the donning of various hats and an occasional song, John takes listeners on an animated and fascinating overview of the historical drivers, stories, characters and political processes behind the proclamation of the Constitution Act on 1 January 1901.
John offers his talk in the hope that Australians embrace his idea of 'relocating' the Constitution from the English statute books to Australia's statute books.
Although he does not expect to witness the relocation of our Constitution to Australian statute, John advocates for a referendum to achieve just that.
