Barkly Regional Council (BRC) welcomes the Tennant Creek Local Authority’s (TCLA) beautification
proposal for the town which has identified several streets in the older and
newer sub-divisions in need of trees and shrubs and earmarked the Tennant Creek
Cemetery for improvements.
Council is also considering calling for expressions of
interest to establish a group called Friends of the Tennant Creek Cemetery to
liaise with the TCLA to plant trees and shrubs and provide a shade structure
during funeral services.
