Event: Training Workshop

Train your staff to be a Health and Safety Representative with this five-day course at the Tennant Creek Hospital

On: Tuesday, 27 November 2018

About the workshop:
Legislation allows elected Health and Safety Representatives to undergo training that complies with Workplace Health and Safety regulations otherwise known as the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. The Health & Safety Representative Initial 5-day course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to enable them to fulfil the role of Health & Safety Representative (HSR) as set down in Section 72 of the Workplace Health & Safety Act 2011.

Why your business needs to train their staff to be a Health and Safety Representative:
HSR's are elected employees in organisations to represent the health and safety interests of workers within their workplace. This will give them knowledge of what their responsibilities are and an understanding of how the legislation works. Approved training for HSR's is available through the Chamber of Commerce Northern Territory to assist and support HSR's in performing their representative duties.

Facilitator:
Eve Somsich is a NT Worksafe approved Health and Safety Representative Trainer with extensive experience teaching in the VET sector.

Members price: $1,235.00. Non-members price: $1,360.00*.
Course runs from 27-30 November 2018. All days are mandatory for successful completion of the course.
