News: Barkly Regional Council appoints Interim CEO
Barkly Regional Council has appointed Mr Russell Anderson as the interim CEO and he will commence on Monday 27 February 2023.

“Ms Emma Bradbury is currently on extended leave from Barkly Regional Council” said Mayor Jeffrey McLaughlin.
Mr Romeo Mutsago has been the Acting CEO during Ms Bradbury’s leave. Barkly Regional Council is about to commence its strategic planning for the development of the 2023/24 Regional Plan.
Mr Mutsago will return to his role as Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial planning to underpin the Plan.
“Barkly Regional Council would like to acknowledge and thank Mr Romeo Mutsago for the significant contribution he has made as the Acting CEO,” said Mayor McLaughlin.
“Barkly Regional Council has appointed Mr Russell Anderson as the interim CEO and he will commence on Monday 27 February 2023.
“Council is pleased Mr Anderson, a very experienced local government CEO in the Northern Territory, has agreed to accept this interim role.
“Mr Anderson most recently assisted Vic Daly Regional Council to develop its Regional Plans.
Barkly Regional Council looks forward to working with him and the Executive Team to develop the 2023/24 Regional Plan to better meet the needs of all our communities across the Barkly.”
